Accessibility Statement

Cocoon Digital Limited is committed to making mycocoon.health accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to mental health support should not be limited by how someone interacts with technology.

Conformance status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG 2.1 defines how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

What we have done

  • Colour contrast for all text and interactive elements meets WCAG 2.1 AA minimum ratios
  • All form inputs have associated visible or screen-reader-accessible labels
  • All images have meaningful alternative text, or are marked as decorative where appropriate
  • The site uses semantic HTML landmarks (<main>, <nav>, <footer>) to support screen reader navigation
  • Heading levels follow a logical hierarchy throughout the page
  • Interactive elements (accordion FAQ, form controls) use ARIA attributes (aria-expanded, aria-controls) to communicate state to assistive technologies
  • Decorative SVG icons are hidden from assistive technologies
  • Users who have enabled reduced motion in their device settings will not see animated transitions - all content is immediately visible
  • The site is keyboard-navigable
  • The site is built as a static website, which loads quickly on low-bandwidth connections

Note on the Cocoon application

This statement covers the mycocoon.health website only. The Cocoon application (iOS and Android) is currently in development; a separate accessibility statement will be published ahead of its launch.
